This post contains spoilers from the second part of Bridgerton season 3.

Victor Alli knows that his character, Lord John Stirling, and his on-screen love, Francesca Bridgerton, are showing a different type of love on Bridgerton.

The actor tells PEOPLE the pair are able to “enjoy each other's company without words,” adding, “ I think that's really, really sweet.”

In the second part of Bridgerton season 3, Francesca (Hannah Dodd) informed her mother that she and John plan to move to Scotland following their wedding. As she prepared to walk down the aisle, her mother shared her fear that she was losing Francesca “for good.”

“It is the opposite. It is difficult sometimes to hear my own voice amidst the noise of this house, whereas with John, I hear myself more and more,” she responded. “It’s my great hope that the silence and beauty of Scotland will allow me to know myself better — so that you can all know me better as well.”

Alli is proud to portray the love story of two introverts on the hit Netflix series, sharing, “I love how the writers and the show was able to show a different dimension, a different angle, I guess, to love, and how love can be portrayed in so many different ways.”

“You have passionate, steamy love, and then you have a quite reserved and quiet tender love that isn't similar, that isn't... Like, I don't know, Daphne and Simon, for example, where they just absolutely could have ripped each other's clothes off,” he explains. “I did like sort of the difference that they brought into the show, I really enjoyed it.”

Alli says he has enjoyed seeing Francesca and John’s love story resonate with viewers.

“I was sent this comment and someone basically said, ‘Thank you, John and Francesca for shining a light on us introverts in our relationships,’” he shares. “And I guess people see themselves in these characters, and I think people love that it's not so far-fetched but they can actually relate to this relationship, which is nice.”
