Brooke Shields’ daughter is getting ready to leave the nest.

The actress, 58, and her family were photographed in New York City on Tuesday, June 11, as they celebrated 18-year-old daughter Grier's private high school graduation.

The teenager looked gorgeous on her big day, wearing an ivory, satin gown with a strapless corset-style top and floor-length skirt. Grier accessorized the look with a white Van Cleef necklace, gold bracelet, gold earrings and a bouquet of white roses.

Shields dressed in a pin-striped and puffy-sleeved midi dress, black satin kitten heels, aviator sunglasses and woven handbag for the special occasion.

The mom of two, who shares Grier and daughter Rowan, 20, with husband Chris Henchy, recently shared the adorable story behind her and Grier’s matching tattoos.

While appearing on the Stupid Things for Love podcast with celebrity tattoo artist Scott Campbell, Shields shared the inspiration behind the matching art she has with her 18-year-old. Speaking about the photos Shields and her daughter sent over for inspiration, Campbell asked to hear how they decided on this specific design.

"When she was little, she would always just wear my shoes," Shields shared of Grier. "And a whole foot would fit into the toe box of my pumps. Yeah, and [she'd] go into my closet and come out and have breakfast in her diaper and high heels."

"And it was just the cutest thing to see this diaper-clad baby or nude signing a song," the proud mom remembered. "And so when we were looking, she found this picture of a woman's high-heel, where you can tell the mom's [foot] filled the whole shoe. And then toe to toe, the kid is in the shoe. But the foot only goes into the front and there's a big gap in the back."
