The Brothers Sun star responds to Netflix's cancellation
The Brothers Sun actor Justin Chien has responded to Netflix cancelling the show after just one season.
The crime drama, which follows a mobster as he seeks to protect his mother and brother after his father is murdered, also stars Michelle Yeoh and was co-created by Brad Falchuk, (Glee, American Horror Story).
Taking to his Instagram, Chien wrote: "To all the fans of The Brothers Sun, thank you for riding with us on this labor of love. It will take some time to digest this news, but I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your love and support for the show.

"Thank you for every post, tweet, edit, interaction, etc. It fills me with so much joy knowing that the show resonated with so many people. Your love made all of our collective work, sacrifices, and heartache, worth it."
Chien added thanks to all the producers, writers, crew, and stunt team "for giving their blood, sweat, and tears to make this the best show possible. Our show wouldn't have been the same without their new grey hairs and sleepless nights."

He also thanked Netflix "for giving our story a platform and giving me the opportunity to play a dream role."
"Thank you for all your love. Without you, this wouldn't mean nearly as much as it does. I gave everything I had to this show, and I can't wait to do the same in the next project, whatever, whenever it may be — I promise I will give it my all."
No specific reason has been given for the show's cancellation, although it comes at a time when streaming services, and the wider entertainment industry, are struggling financially.
The Brothers Sun is available to stream on Netflix.
