The Brothers Sun star Sam Song Li shares promising hopes for season 2
The Brothers Sun star Sam Song Li has shared a promising update regarding a second season of the action-comedy series.
The Netflix series sees Li play Bruce Sun, whose world is turned upside down as he discovers that his family were hardened criminals in Taipei before eventually moving to California.
The series, which also stars Michelle Yeoh and Justin Chien, has garnered generally favourable reviews since its release, and Li revealed that the show has been envisaged as a multi-season story.

"I think everybody on The Brothers Sun team absolutely thinks that there's more to tell," he exclusively told Digital Spy. “And luckily, it's not a limited series so there is potential for future seasons.
"The first season is a great introductory piece to all of our characters. I really think the fun can start now, because we get to really see how far these characters might go once they've had a taste of the other side."
The actor also spoke about the contrasting tones at play in the series, with Bruce's introduction to the brutal world often depicted humorously, revealing that the juxtaposition was akin to "two colliding worlds".

"That's what makes this show so interesting and, in so many ways, fresh to me," he said. "When I first read the script, I just thought it was a very unique story and perspective of storytelling in general because it really felt like two worlds colliding.
"There was some uncertainty about the tone because [of] the way it's written - it's very funny. The jokes pop out of the page when you read it. But one thing that was so well executed by our [crew] was that they always knew the genre-bending aspect was going to be the show's greatest strength."
The Brothers Sun is out now on Netflix.
