Buddy Valastro and Lisa Valastro lit up the Daytime Emmys red carpet in more ways than one.

The Cake Boss star wore a sparkly suit as he was awarded his first ever Emmy for outstanding culinary host on his show Legends of the Fork. He beat out Lidia Bastianich, Valerie Bertinelli, Eduardo Garcia, Emeril Lagasse, and Sophia Roe who were all nominated in the category.

On Saturday, June 8, the baker was joined by his wife of 21 years on the red carpet at the award show held at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles. The pair matched in classy, black looks. Buddy’s sleek black suit, white shirt and black bowtie had a little extra pizzazz — his jacket had glittery details dispersed throughout the coat and was decorated with sparkles around the lapel.

Lisa wore a strapless black Cesar Solorzano gown adorned with lace details and large flowers.

The father of four posted several glamorous photos from the carpet on Instagram and wrote about his gratitude. “Winning the Outstanding Culinary Host award is a dream come true! I’m incredibly grateful to all of you, my fans, this wouldn’t be possible without all your love and support ❤️🍰🏆”

He continued, mentioning family members and people on his team in the caption. “Special thanks to A&E, Six West Studio, my agent Josh Rosen, the Carlos Bakery crew, my sisters, my brother-in-laws, my nieces and nephews, my family, my mother-in-law and father-in-law, and my parents up in heaven," wrote Buddy. "A special thanks to my children Sofia, Buddy JR, Marco, and Carlo and to my rock who holds it all together for me. Lisa, thank you for supporting me in this big accomplishment.”

On the now Emmy-winning A&E series, Buddy travels across the country, chatting with the chefs and owners of beloved restaurants across the nation. The show premiered in November 2023 on A&E, as did Buddy Valastro’s Cake Dynasty.

The latter goes behind the scenes of his Carlo’s Bakery business and family life following his Cake Boss fame in a “more real and raw” way than the TLC series.

“It's definitely a more grownup version,” Buddy told PEOPLE at the time of the premiere. “We're a little bit more real and raw. So sometimes there's a couple of F bombs here and there.”

Buddy Valastro’s Cake Dynasty shows a lot more of his children than Cake Boss. Buddy said he mostly kept his kids out of the spotlight when they were younger, but now they’re “at an age where they want to be part of it.”

“The dynamic between my wife and kids and myself I think is not only fun, but I think there's a lot of parents who are all in the same boat. You have teenage kids and they're growing up, what are they going to do? How are they going to do things?” he said. “So I think there's a lot of relatability as well about that.”
