SINGAPORE — An "explosion" at the Audi Service Centre at Ubi Road had damaged part of the building's wall on level one on Tuesday (7 March), Audi Singapore said.

Posting on social media, the brand confirmed that they were working with the relevant authorities to find the cause.

"To facilitate ongoing investigations, the UBI 55 commercial building has been closed off temporarily," Audi Singapore said in their Facebook post.

In addition, the company said that the service centre would remain closed until further notice, and apologised for any inconvenience.

The Straits Times reported about 100 people were evacuated after the explosion blew open the section of the building this morning.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the incident at around 8.44am.

The SCDF confirmed there was no fire in the area and that a section of a building's side wall had collapsed.

"One person was conveyed to the Raffles Hospital after sustaining a fall in the vicinity," according to the post.

There were no other reported injuries, and the SCDF said they were currently investigating at the scene.
