Carrie Underwood Brings Futuristic Flair in Metallic Corset Gown to Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Gala 2024
Carrie Underwood attended the Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Gala 2024 at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel on Thursday in New York City wearing a textured gown from Rafik Zaki.
The singer’s dress was crafted from two separates. The corset bodice, designed in a reflective silver textile, featured a three-dimensional sculpted design, strapless neckline and asymmetrical hemline. The coordinating skirt, crafted from an equally glossy woven silver fabric, used a high-low silhouette to create texture and dimension around the waistline.

Rafik Zaki has a robust collection of other two-piece gowns, similarly crafted with a sculptural bodice and voluminous skirt. The brand’s Alyssa and Tanya dresses feature corset-like construction on top, complete with a strapless neckline and pointed hemline, and draped skirting on the bottom, with brightly colored taffeta ruched and gathered around the waistline.
For Underwood’s styling, the star kept her long blond tresses over her shoulders in a loose curl pattern and sharp middle parting. As for her makeup look, the use of darker eye shadow and bold lashes were balanced with a soft pink lip and matching blush color.
During the show, Underwood honored singer and songwriter Hillary Lindsey with a dedicated performance of her own hit song, “Jesus, Take the Wheel.”
The Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Gala 2024 celebrated the achievements of influential songwriters and their contributions to the music industry. Among this year’s inductees were Diane Warren, SZA, Steely Dan, R.E.M. and Hillary Lindsey.
