Carrie Underwood falls off stage during 'massive downpour' but 'won't let a little rain stop us!'

Fortunately, she wasn’t completely blown away.

Singin’ in the rain can occasionally lead to a less romantic side effect: slippin’ off the stage.

Carrie Underwood now understands this unfortunate reality, as she took a tumble off a platform during a performance in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Sunday. Luckily, the singer’s chipper spirit allowed a quick recovery from the incident, to the point where some audiences may have missed that it occurred altogether.

TMZ's video from the concert shows Underwood departing the stage at the end of the show with her back to the audience, and as she descends the stairs, she appears to miss several steps as she disappears from view entirely.

The singer shared an Instagram post with video of her “Before He Cheats” performance, which closed out her 25-song set at the Carolina Country Music Fest at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. “We won’t let a little rain stop us!” she wrote. “We won’t let a massive downpour stop us, either!”

In videos captured by audience members, Underwood can be heard laughing and shouting, “This is nuts!” as the downpour erupts during her signature song.

“Well, last night sure was fun!” Underwood wrote in another post. “And though the ending was quite unexpected, it made for a night we’ll never forget!”

The American Idol winner’s setlist also included hits like “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Blown Away” as well as a cover of Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle.”

Underwood experienced a more serious fall in 2017, when she stumbled at her home and broke her wrist. “I was taking the dogs out to go pee one last time, and I just, I tripped,” she recalled on The Bobby Bones Show. “There was one step, and I didn’t let go of the leashes! Priorities!”
