Carson Daly Just Called Out Blake Shelton for His Latest Country Music Duet

It's no surprise that Blake Shelton and Carson Daly have the frenemy routine down pat. The former costars on The Voice take any opportunity to tease each other, but, in reality, they're close friends (after all, Carson officiated Blake's wedding with Gwen Stefani!). When Blake announced an unexpected duet with a major artist, Carson was quick to joke about it.

Blake took to social media to share a clip of his new song, which is a duet with Post Malone. The artists haven't shared the song's name (fans are unofficially calling it "Somebody Pour Me a Drink") or a release date, but the upbeat tune is sure to be a hit.

The two artists may seem like an odd pairing, but, by now, fans should've taken notice of Post Malone's foray into the country music genre. He recently performed alongside Brad Paisley at Stagecoach, released "I Had Some Help" with Morgan Wallen, and took the stage for two songs at the ACM Awards.

Blake's Instagram post teasing the song got more than 1,200 comments, from fans who left messages like, "Yesss release the date!!! Don’t play with us Blake!!! 😍" and "OMG I love this🔥 I'm so here for this collab🤩" Post Malone shared a clip on his Instagram account and Gwen chimed in with, "Can’t handle this much cool and cute!! Super fan alert!"

Of course, not everyone chose the high road. Carson wrote, "Posty must have lost a bet! 😂"

Malone has confirmed that a country album is in the works: According to Billboard, he said on a livestream, "Country record is coming. I keep singing a song that we made while I was in Nashville. It’s so f–king sick, but it’s not out."

If the new song with Blake Shelton is any indication, the new album is something to look forward to.
