Netflix has officially renewed Castlevania: Nocturne for a second series.

Confirming the news today (October 6), the streaming site wrote on Twitter that season two of the video-game based series was in production.

"Thanks to all of the Castlevania fans old and new for the amazing response and support,"creator/showrunner Clive Bradley and showrunner Kevin Kolde said in a joint statement (via Deadline).

"We are excited to be able to bring you more Castlevania: Nocturne and the next chapter in the rise of Richter Belmont."

Based on Konami's Castlevania video game franchise, Nocturne follows Richter Belmont, chief vampire hunter and current air of the Belmont as he fights off a vampire attack in revolutionary France – 300 years after the events of the main series.
