Casualty spoilers follow from Saturday's episode (February 24), which is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer. This article contains storyline details that some viewers may prefer to avoid, as this episode hasn't yet aired on TV.

Casualty waved goodbye to another character in the show's latest episode (February 24), as Paige Allcott's final scenes aired.

Paige's exit story was teased last week, when spoilers revealed how she would begin start pursuing a new career avenue.

Recent episodes have seen Paige show an interest in Maxfax and, to her delight, she managed to land a new position upstairs in the hospital.

Today's visit to the ED, which is already available to watch, saw Paige excitedly tell Jodie that this would be her last shift.

As Paige prepared to treat firefighter Buddy, who had suffered burns in an explosion, she was rattled to hear about Teddy's new romance with Jodie so soon after their breakup.

When Max assigned Paige to work with Teddy, there was palpable tension all round as Teddy handed over to them.

A guilty Jodie later tried to make amends with Paige and apologised for sleeping with Teddy when she was still with him.

However, Paige wasn't in the mood for forgiveness and insisted that she'll be in her new job soon, away from the drama.

As the day went on, Paige received some bad news – the job had fallen through.

Despite her disappointment, Paige tried to move past this by throwing herself into work and proving what a good doctor she is.

When Jodie compliment her on this later, Paige insisted that she wasn't staying in the ED after all.

Paige explained to Jodie that she knew what she wanted – her future was in Maxfax and she was planned to locum until another job came up.

Paige's final scene saw her wish Jodie luck with everything, before walking off to continue her shift.

But is this the last we will see of Paige?

Yes, Digital Spy can confirm that tonight's episode marks the end of Paige's time on the show.

Shalisha James-Davis joined as new ED doctor Paige at the start of 2022.

Her biggest storylines have centred around her relationships with Rash and Teddy, and the off-screen death of her mum, which subsequently led Paige to be tested for the BRCA cancer gene.

Paige's exit comes after both Ryan and Sah also bowed out last month. Nigel Harman and Derek Thompson are also leaving their roles as Max and Charlie respectively.

Next week's episode will actually focus around Max's exit story, as he drops some big news on his daughter Jodie.

Meanwhile, Faith will make a shock discovery about Iain after her daughter Natalia goes missing, and Charlie's fears about Harry will become a reality.

Casualty airs on Saturday nights on BBC One. The show is now releasing episodes early on BBC iPlayer at 6am on the day of transmission.
