Casualty's Faith Cadogan to face attack after ED return

Casualty’s Faith Cadogan is set to face a shocking attack upon her return to the ED.
In recent months, Faith (played by Kirsty Mitchell) has been grappling with a drug addiction, a struggle that ended her relationship with paramedic Iain Dean and left her career on the line.
After finally accepting that she needed help, the nurse took a period of time off work to enter rehab and focus on her recovery.
On the show’s return last month, she ended up back at the hospital sooner than she expected after helping a woman who had collapsed in the street. The situation made her realise exactly why she loves her job.

In this week’s episode (airing on January 27), Faith returns to work properly, but Stevie Nash’s new security measures mean the ED isn’t quite how she remembers it.
She is quickly introduced to Harry, the ED security guard brought in following Ryan’s brutal attack, and she is handed a body cam to wear during her shift.
Faith is stuck on light duties during her first day, but things soon escalate when she catches her patient Matt taking drugs.
She asks him to return to his cubicle, but he resists and hits Faith, throwing her to the ground.
While she is left bruised and bloody, Faith is determined to continue with her shift, and says she doesn’t want to prosecute attacker Matt – who later suffers a seizure.
However, Stevie, who is behind the protocol, is adamant that the measures are in place for a reason.

Faith is already feeling side-lined by her own restrictions upon her return to work, and it makes her question her friend and colleague’s faith in her, with the pair clashing over the new measures.
In an act of rebellion, Faith later takes off the body cam and walks out of the ED, leaving Stevie questioning the effectiveness of what's been put in place.
