Charli XCX Tops TikTok’s Song of the Summer Predictions for U.K. and Ireland; Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan Also Contenders (EXCLUSIVE)

Charli XCX’s “Brat” is dominating TikTok in the U.K. and Ireland.

Two tracks off the newly released album, “360” and “Everything Is Romantic,” have made TikTok’s list of song of the summer predictions for the region. Though the predictions are chock-full of hits, including the wildly popular “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan’s catchy anthem “Good Luck Babe,” Charli is the only artist with more than one song on the list.

Other contenders include “She’s Gone, Dance On” by dance duo Disclosure; Kabin Krew’s “The Spark,” a viral banger created by a group of Irish kids in Cork; the remix of the TikTok-born “Man in Finance” sound from Girl on Couch by DJ pair Billen Ted; “Cartwheels” from up-and-coming indie band Soft Launch; “Miss Me Too” by Taylor Swift Eras Tour opener Griff; “Stargazing” from folk-pop rising star Myles Smith; Tommy Richman’s earworm “Million Dollar Baby”; Billie Eilish’s catchy track “Lunch”; and Central Cee and Lil Baby’s collab “Band4Band.”

The predictions were forecasted by TikTok staffers across U.K. and Ireland, with nearly half a million videos made on the platform under the hashtag #SongOfTheSummer already.

“From Central Cee & Lil Baby’s newly released ‘Band4Band,’ to Billie Eilish’s hugely anticipated ‘Lunch,’ it’s amazing to see the variety of genres, artists and songs which are shaping up to be this year’s #SongOfTheSummer on TikTok,” Nichal Sethi, head of U.K, artist services at TikTok, said in a statement. “Bright electro pop beats and quirky lyrics feature heavily in the chosen tracks, so it’s clear that our community is after a dopamine hit when it comes to their summer playlists. The team at TikTok will be keeping a close eye on the songs our community are connecting with over the next couple of months and look forward to seeing the results.”
