Chelsea: Mauricio Pochettino has agreed swift Stamford Bridge return after surprise exit
Mauricio Pochettino has already agreed a swift return to Stamford Bridge after leaving his role as Chelsea manager.
The Argentine on Tuesday saw his tenure as Blues boss end by mutual content, just shy of a year in charge, leaving Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali to look for their sixth manager in less than two years.
Pochettino, who guided the Blues to a sixth-place finish after winning the final five games of the season, is said to have disagreed with his bosses on certain topics such as players being sold and those differences in vision ultimately proved irreconcilable.
The former Tottenham manager's coaching team of Jesus Perez, Miguel d’Agostino, Toni Jimenez and Sebastiano Pochettino have also left Stamford Bridge, but they will not be out of work for long having already agreed a remarkable return to the stadium... for Soccer Aid!
It was in March confirmed that Pochettino would manage the World XI team, as he did last year at Old Trafford, for the annual charity game. Perez will join him, but this time the pair will be barking order from the away dugout.
Fellow former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is also making a return to Stamford Bridge as he will manage the England team alongside Harry Redknapp and Robbie Williams.
