Chris Brown gets stuck midair at concert, has to be rescued with ladder

The singer found himself dangling midair while performing his song "Under the Influence" at his recent New Jersey concert.

Chris Brown appeared less than pleased after a set malfunction during his New Jersey concert left him hanging high and dry… literally.

The “Superhero” singer, 35, was in the middle of performing his song “Under the Influence” at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Wednesday evening when he suddenly found himself stuck suspended midair on wires with no way down. In the end, concert staff were unable to resolve the issue and had to bring a ladder onstage in order to bring Brown to safety.

In video footage from the event posted on TikTok, Brown can be seen signaling and shouting to someone offscreen about his predicament while hovering several feet above his dancers. Despite the incident, he continued to dance and sing along to the track without missing a beat.

An additional clip shows the moment that staff brought out a ladder in order to rescue Brown. The musician can then be seen unclasping the wires that were previously holding him in air before descending its rungs to applause and cheers from the crowd.

Still, the singer seemed frustrated by the entire situation and can be seen in the clip shouting and pointing at a person offscreen. He then turned back to the audience and finished the song without a hitch.

Brown is currently on his 2024 11:11 Tour. He will perform next at New York’s UBS Arena on June 14, before taking on two back-to-back nights at the Barclays Center in New York City starting June 16.
