Chrissy Teigen is soaking up her latest Instagram frenzy.

On Tuesday, June 18, John Legend shared a video of his wife on Instagram in the bathtub as she scrubbed off her body makeup. But as she rinsed off, the bath water turned the color of the makeup, which caused an uproar in Legend’s comment section.

In the video, Legend, 45, turns the camera to his wife and asks, “What is happening here?”

“I’m getting all my body makeup off,” Teigen replies before Legend reveals she’s using the Loved 01 exfoliating cleanser. (The exfoliant is a part of Legend’s skincare line, Loved01, which was created to treat the needs of melanin-rich skin.)

But after the Cravings cookbook author noticed a slew of comments remarking on the bath water hue, she shared the video to her own profile and clarified what she was doing.

“Currently getting roasted online for being dirty because no one listened the the audio where I say I’m soaking off body makeup (to shower after!) 😂😭 , full blown fights in John’s comments," she began in the caption of the June 19 Instagram post.

The model continued: "My favorite is 'baths are not for bathing.' I love a good old fashioned roasting though, u guys are killing it (it being never touching grass ever). Using my favorite @loved01skin exfoliator 🥰,”

Legend then commented: “Baths are not for bathing is some amazing internet-ness.”

Legend launched his skincare line in January 2023 and told PEOPLE exclusively at the time he wanted the brand to “feel elevated and like a lot of care and intention was put into it.”

"Not a lot of products [are created] with melanin-rich skin in mind. We feel that caring enough to center our research and our product development on melanin-rich skin is an expression of love, too," he told PEOPLE.
