Chrissy Teigen Reveals Her Family Welcomed a Cat

The mother of four shared a cute video introducing the newest member of their household

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s family has grown!

On Monday, June 3, the mother of four, 38, shared a little life update via social media.

“Little week recap!” Teigen began in the caption to her Instagram carousel detailing the recent events in her life — one of which included adding a not-so-fur baby into the mix.

“Also got a cat oh my god,” she wrote.

In the footage, the model’s youngest daughter, 16-month-old Esti, is wearing a pajama set as she stands near a hairless cat that’s resting on a sofa.

“Is that your friend?” Teigen asks her baby girl twice in a soft voice. Esti picks up the animal and carries it away as her mom laughs off camera.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE published in May, Legend, 45, and Teigen opened up about their latest joint business venture — a pet food brand called Kismet.

The couple, who have been married since 2013, first became pet parents to an English bulldog named Puddy in 2008. The canine was a half-birthday present for Teigen shortly after she began dating the 12-time Grammy winner.

"That was our first experience parenting together," the "All of Me" singer told PEOPLE. "And of course, we love dogs, we love food, we love the culture and community around dogs and being a pet parent. And we thought, why not? Let's create our own dog food and create a brand that celebrates dog culture and community and connects pet parents around the country."

He also explained how they came up with the idea to name the brand Kismet.

"That 'Oh, I'm so glad we found each other, and we were made for each other' feeling, and we feel like a lot of pets, and their parents feel that way about each other," Legend said of the “connection.”

The family’s newest pet joins their basset hound Pearl, French bulldog Penny, Petey the poodle, and the most recent addition to the canine clique is Pebbles. Teigen and Legend also have a bearded dragon and recently bird-sat for Teigen's dad's avian companion, Audrey.

In addition to the kitty — whose name Teigen did not reveal in her Instagram post — the couple are parents to Luna, 8, Miles, 6, and Wren, 11 months, along with Esti.

“Troop Beverly Hills celebrated their cookie sales with a lesson in Korean BBQ and coffee filter flower making, Esti fell in love with her Baby Alive, Wren continues to be happy nonstop, wine goggles and big brother miles,” the model and cookbook author said in her social media recap on Monday.
