Colin From Accounts star to front new Australian-set thriller series
Colin from Accounts star Patrick Brammall is among the cast of upcoming Apple TV+ thriller The Dispatcher.
The Evil star will take on the lead role of detective Ian Hunt in the series adapted from the 2011 novel of the same name by award-winning author Ryan David Jahn.
A synopsis for the show reads: "Police detective Ian Hunt's life fell apart ten years ago when his young daughter Maggie disappeared without a trace. Now working as a police dispatcher, the only thing that has kept him going is his implacable refusal to accept that she might be gone forever. When he receives a distress call from a young girl he is certain is Maggie, he will stop at nothing to find her and reunite his broken family, whatever the cost."

It has been adapted by Kris Mrksa and will be executive produced by Jamie Laurenson and Hakan Kousetta at 60Forty Films, with executive producers Kris Mrksa and Joanna Werner at Werner Film Productions. Further casting and a release date are yet to be announced.
Brammall is known for his role as Andy Bouchard on CBS horror drama Evil, as well as voicing Uncle Rad on the record-breaking Australian animated series Bluey.
Alongside his wife Harriet Dyer, he is the co-creator, co-writer, and co-star of Colin from Accounts, in which he plays Gordon "Flash" Crapp.

The series follows Gordon and Dyer's Ashley Mulden, who are brought together by a car accident and an injured dog.
A second series of the hit comedy has been announced for later this year, with the couple announcing in a statement: "We're thrilled that BINGE is finally giving in and letting us do another one.
"Turns out the Border Terrier community is extremely powerful. Thank you to everybody around the world who has enjoyed the show, we can't wait to bring you all a second season. Stay tuned for more shenanigans."
The Dispatcher and Colin From Accounts season 2 are yet to receive release windows.
