The House of Mouse certainly knows how to deliver quality content – it’s been doing it for 100 years.

This June there’s a whole range of new shows and films coming onto Disney+ for people to enjoy. From a brand new Star Wars spin-off show to a biopic about Karl Lagerfeld, take a look below to find your next obsession.

Star Wars: The Acolyte – June 5

The Acolyte, Star Wars’ latest spin-off project, had our vote as soon as we saw Carrie-Anne Moss, aka The Matrix’s Trinity, and Lee Jung-jae, aka Squid Game’s Seong Gi-hun, wielding lightsabers and fighting as Jedi Masters in the series’ trailer. The new story is set about 100 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999) took place, and tells the story of a Jedi Master who is investigating a series of crimes.

Becoming Karl Lagerfeld – June 7

Celebrated German fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld (1933-2019), who helmed some of the world’s biggest fashion houses – Fendi from 1965, and Chanel from 1983 – until his 2019 death, was a larger than life character, known for his signature look, cutting comments about weight and beauty, and for his cat companion, Choupette, as much as he was for his extraordinary talents as a designer. In this French series, Daniel Brühl plays Lagerfeld in Seventies Paris, rising through the ranks.

Under The Bridge – June 12

This Hulu series starring Lily Gladstone, Riley Keough and Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife) is based on a non-fiction book by Rebecca Godfrey of the same name. The award-winning book documents the terrible true story of the murder of 14-year-old Reena Virk in Canada in 1997 by a group of teenagers. In the series, Keough plays writer Godfrey as she investigates the case, interviewing the young accused killers.

We Were the Lucky Ones – June 19

An adaptation of Georgia Hunter’s 2017 novel, the story follows a wealthy, close-knit family of Polish Jews as they flee persecution during the Second World War, scattering across the world.

Diane von Fürstenberg: Woman in Charge – June 25

A big month for fashion designers: the documentary unpacks the extraordinary life of Belgian designer Diane von Furstenberg (b.1946) whose statement wrap dress has become an iconic piece in the history of women’s fashion. Co-directed by two-time Oscar-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and director Trish Dalton, some of the world’s most influential people, including Oprah Winfrey and Hillary Rodham Clinton, reflect on Fürstenberg’s enduring influence.

The Bear, season 3 – June 27

Since premiering in 2022, The Bear has fast become one of TV’s best shows, picking up six Emmy awards, four Golden globe awards, and making stars of its leading cast members Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri. Beginning as the story of top chef Carmy (Allen White) who returns to his hometown Chicago to take over his family’s sandwich shop, in season three Carmy is now expanding the business.
