Commercial break: 'The Wizard of Oz,' Cadillac, Apple iPad

Headline-making ads that aired during Sunday's Oscars ceremony included a commercial filmed entirely on an iPad, a star-studded spot for Cadillac and an ad from Comcast that tugs at the heartstrings.

"If you're dreaming, you're sleeping"
Martin Scorsese's commencement speech last year for NYU's Tisch School of the Arts provides the narration for a spot from Apple promoting the iPad's filmmaking capabilities. The 60-second ad was reportedly filmed entirely on an iPad Air 2.

"What would it look like to me?"
Sticking with the cinematic theme, and also employing a celebrity voiceover (this time it's Robert Redford), Comcast released this touching ad in which seven-year-old Emily, who was born blind, describes what she imagines as she watches "The Wizard of Oz." The spot is for Comcast and Xfinity's "talking guide," developed by the Comcast Accessibility Lab.

"Only those who dare..."
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak appears in Cadillac's Oscars spot, part of its "Dare Greatly" campaign promoting its upcoming CT6. Set to the music of Edith Piaf, the ad flashes past a series of famous faces, including director Richard Linklater, fashion designer Jason Wu and 23andMe founder Anne Wojcicki -- all of whom have "dared" in one way or another, says the brand.
