Community movie gets a disappointing update
Community creator Dan Harmon has given fans a disappointing update on the upcoming movie, suggesting the Hollywood strikes have put things up in the air again.
The long-anticipated film was finally confirmed a year ago, with original stars including Joel McHale and Donald Glover confirmed to be coming back for the Peacock project.
However, Harmon has revealed that before the writers and actors' strikes began a few months ago, they had planned to film the movie in Atlanta so that they could include Glover in the ensemble – though the strikes have now put schedules up in the air.

“By the time we can recoordinate, what are the odds that everyone’s schedule is going to once again align?” he told The Hollywood Reporter.
Glover's involvement was confirmed in June after not being part of the initial cast list, Harmon saying at the time to Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa: "Well, [Donald Glover's] coming back, and that's really important. The fact that we even got Donald to do it... that was the big piece.
"But, I think everyone's coming back. So far, we're pretty good, and I think that will happen. If not, then, you know, Donald will be there. See? It'll just be Donald. It'll just be an episode of Atlanta."

It comes a few months after McHale suggested that Community: The Movie could be delayed due to the Writers Guild of America strike (which has since come to an end).
"I'm not exactly sure, but I'm guessing it's not going to start on time," he told Collider. "I don’t say this lightly, but I stand with the WGA, and there’s no doubt that pay has gone down 23% since 2007, and that needs to change."
Earlier this year, star Danny Pudi expressed excitement about doing the movie, telling Variety: "Everyone is super excited, we’re just really really pumped."
Community is available to stream via Netflix in the UK, and Netflix and Hulu in the US.
