ITV's Cooking with the Stars has crowned its 2023 winner after a tense final.

Tonight's (August 8) episode saw Peter Andre, Gavin & Stacey star Joanna Page, and Coronation Street's Samia Longchambon battle it out to be named this year's winner.

But in the end, Samia lifted the trophy after creating a tasty dish in memory of her late father Joseph.

Samia follows in the footsteps of McFly's Harry Judd and Dr Ranj Singh, who won previous series.

Returning to the studio to watch the final were eliminated contestants actor Jason Watkins, boxer Chris Eubank, Busted's Matt Willis, Steps singer Claire Richards and Love Island's Indiyah Polack.

For the first challenge, hosts Emma Willis and Tom Allen gave Peter, Samia and Joanna the tough task of cooking their mentor's signature dish.

Joanna cooked chef Michael Caines' herb-crusted rack of lamb, and while she mostly delivered, the lamb was undercooked.

Samia was paired with Jean-Christophe Novelli and had to cook his signature chicken chocolate and merlot casserole. Despite burning herself during the process, Samia delivered great flavours in the dish. However, her chicken was overcooked.

Meanwhile, Peter was tasked with cooking Rosemary Shrager's beef fillet with beef bonbons. His bonbons were on the dry side, but Peter impressed the judges enough with his steak to go straight through to the final.

Samia and Joanna then had to take part in a cook-off, where they had to produce a cherry bakewell meringue roulade using a recipe they'd never seen before.

After the blind judging — with all eight chefs (including Samia and Joanna's mentors) tasting — Samia was chosen to face Peter in the final.

The final challenge saw Samia and Peter create their very own signature dish. Samia cooked a Lebanese feast in honour of her late father, while Peter created a Greek Cypriot meze.

While Peter's dish was described as "unbelievably delicious", Samia's was praised as a fitting and extremely tasty tribute to her dad.

After being crowned the winner, Samia said being on Cooking with the Stars was "the best experience of my life" and added that it was an honour to be mentored by Jean-Christophe.

Cooking with the Stars airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
