Coronation Street confirms another emotional goodbye for Dylan and Sean

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street teen Dylan Wilson faces another emotional farewell moment with his dad Sean Tully next week.

The troubled schoolboy prepares to head back to London after briefly returning for Mason Radcliffe's trial.

Dylan's mum Violet recently came back to the cobbles and insisted on taking him away to live with her again due to the problems he'd faced in recent months.

Violet claimed that Sean's poor parenting had played a role in Dylan's bullying of Liam Connor and his knife crime charges.

Wednesday's episode (April 3) sees Dylan and Violet reappear ahead of Mason's court case, where Dylan is expected to testify against the villain.

Violet makes it clear that they'll both be going back to London as soon as the trial is over.

Next week, once the court drama has been resolved, Sean urges Violet to reconsider her decision and let Dylan stay in Weatherfield. Violet refuses, believing that she's acting in Dylan's best interests.

With Dylan's move to London seemingly confirmed, he says an emotional goodbye to Sean once again. Eileen Grimshaw joins them for the touching farewell.

Shortly afterwards, as they walk towards the tram station, Dylan admits to Violet that he'd prefer to stay in Weatherfield.

Dylan argues his case, claiming that sticking around will give him an opportunity to make amends with everyone he has hurt. Will Violet listen?

While viewers will have to wait and see exactly what the future holds for Dylan, Antony Cotton – who plays Sean – previously hinted that the teen's story had quite a way to go.

In a recent appearance on ITV's Good Morning Britain, Antony explained: "Weirdly this has all been plotted out six months ago and written a long time ago, and only a few weeks ago was the new act in parliament with the sentencing for zombie knives.

"That's all happened, we're months down [the line], so it's obviously an important story to tell.

"Now it'll be informed by the new legislation. You know, Corrie is not real life but it's supposed to hold a mirror up, so it's been really satisfying and this is only the beginning of it. We've got this [storyline] for the rest of the year. "

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, April 10.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
