Coronation Street confirms another returning character
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street is bringing back another character as Max Turner's latest storyline continues.
The soap has already brought back Lauren Bolton, who was part of the far-right extremist gang alongside Max last year. Now, it's been confirmed that Lauren's dad Reece, one of the main members of the gang who has been locked up after their plan was foiled, is also coming back.
In scenes set to air next week, Shona Platt sees Max raiding the fridge for a picnic. She brings it up to his love interest Gabrielle, who responds with a blank expression.

Max is actually going for a picnic with Lauren, where she reveals to him that her dad wants her to come visit him in prison.
Sabrina sees the duo together and is at first furious, but Max admits later in the week that he's just providing support for her during a tough time.
At the prison, Max is clearly unnerved to see Reece again. Things only get more uncomfortable when Reece claims that he was only involved with the gang because Griff was threatening Lauren's life.
Max soon starts to think that both of them want him to make a false statement in order to reduce Reece's sentence. Is that actually the case, and if so, will he go through with their plan?

Lauren actress Cait Fitton spoke to Digital Spy and other press outlets about her return.
"Lauren needs to move on with her life, cut off from her dad and move on. Her dad is her last bit of family," she said, "so cutting him off is terrifying for her because then she's got to accept that she's got nobody".
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
