Coronation Street and Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis teases new album on trip to the US

Coronation Street and Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis has teased new music, with her debut album on the way.

The star, who currently plays the role of Courtney Vance on the cobbles, is no stranger to singing, having appeared on reality competition Over the Rainbow, as well as releasing music in the past.

However, Davis has now taken to Instagram to share that she is set to begin work on her first album in the US.

"I am extremely excited to announce that my debut single will be released in May next year!" she captioned a new Instagram post.

"I am about to fly out to America to start recording my debut album with some of the worlds best producers!

"This album is dedicated to the fighters, the parents and all of the people who've overcome the impossible," the star added. "This music is for you. So much has gone into the whole album & I really hope you all relate & love it as much as I do."

In a follow-up post, Davis added: "Taking it all in In Memphis. 26.10.23 Where the Album came life," before confirming she has been writing songs with record producer Boo Mitchell, who has worked with the likes of Al Green and Rod Stewart.

The star previously played the role of Sinead O'Connor in Hollyoaks, and joined Coronation Street earlier this year as Courtney.

Last month, she expressed hope for a long-term future on the cobbles, telling Digital Spy and other media: "She's one of those characters that could do anything and be involved with anything. She would love a good gossip to know what's going on with everybody else."

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
