Coronation Street star Peter Ash has shared an update, hinting at more scenes for his character Paul Foreman.

Paul has been at the centre of a hard-hitting storyline about Motor Neurone Disease (MND), learning he may have less than 12 months to live and considering the idea of ending his own life.

On Instagram, the actor took a selfie in his dressing room, explaining it was his first day back at work after a break.

Soon, the character will have to share his plan with sister Gemma Winter-Brown and mum Bernie, too.

While Paul is on a motorhome trip with his family, Billy calls his husband, thinking the worst, and when Gemma picks up the phone and hears Billy begging Paul not to take the tablets he's stashed, it may be time for the former mechanic to come clean with his loved ones.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
