Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver teases return date as Eileen Grimshaw
Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver has teased her return date as Eileen Grimshaw.
Last year it was announced that the star would be taking a short break from the cobbles to star in Sister Act The Musical, with Eileen's temporary exit airing in April.
Sue has now teased her comeback, revealing in a new interview that she will be filming her return scenes next month.

"I’ll be heading back to Coronation Street soon," she told OK!. "I'm having a little holiday and then I will be heading back into Corrie in July so they can see me back there. I will be back.”
The actor also spoke about recently finishing her run in Sister Act, admitting she is already "missing everybody hugely".
“I had the most wonderful time doing that show – I hadn’t been on stage for 30 years,” she explained. “I just thought ‘I’m going to embrace this, I’m going to do it’.
"Even though I was scared and even though it was the unknown, I thought ‘nope, this is fabulous. Let’s just go for this’ and I did."

Sue added that she had the "most amazing time", recalling: "We played to full houses everywhere and had standing ovations. I will miss everybody hugely but you’ve got to finish one thing to start the next thing.”
The actor also shared her desire to do more theatre work in the future, noting: “The stage is where I started. Theatre’s always been my first love. Now I’ve been back, that’s not going to be my last.”
Eileen's exit scenes saw the character depart Weatherfield to visit son Jason in Thailand after he broke his back.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
