Coronation Street's Adam Barlow is set to receive a death threat amid his risky deal with Harvey Gaskell.
Viewers will know that Damon Hay recently returned to the cobbles and has charmed Sarah into reconciling with him – though Sarah's estranged husband Adam is less than impressed.
Adam learns that Damon has been visiting his brother Harvey in prison – with the incarcerated criminal trying to rope him into a criminal job – and Adam later confronts Sarah and Damon in front of her family at the Bistro, saying he knows about Damon's visits to prison.

However, when he declares that he doesn’t want Damon near her son Harry, he is reminded that Harry is not his own son. This leads Adam to angrily cut a deal with Harvey to take down Damon.
In new scenes set to air next Wednesday (January 17), Adam heads to prison to see Harvey as part of his plan, and pretends that he has looked over his case files, suggesting Harvey has a strong appeal case.
However, Harvey warns Adam that if he is let down, the hitman dealing with Damon will deal with him as well.

Speaking about the storyline, producer Iain MacLeod explained: "As Damon's calming down, Adam's going in the other direction and he plans to rid himself of Damon.
"We'll see him pay a little visit to Damon's half-brother Harvey, because he's no fan of Damon's either. They might form an unholy alliance. They have a shared problem in the form of Damon and think they can help each other in that regard."
