Coronation Street's Amy bravely makes a stand in Aaron story

Amy Barlow has refused to back down against Aaron Sandford in Coronation Street.
Earlier this week, Abi Webster apologised for doubting Amy's rape accusations against Aaron and encouraged her to share a blog about the trauma of her experiences.

In Wednesday's (May 17) episode, Abi and Tyrone informed Aaron that he'd need to look for another job, leading his father Eric to threaten to sue Amy for libel unless she retracted the blog.
While Steve McDonald wanted Amy to stand her ground, local lawyer Dee Dee Bailey warned that a libel lawsuit could be lengthy and costly for the whole family.
Privately, Steve admitted to Tracy that they didn't have the money for a court battle even if they supported Amy 100%.
Aaron once again tried to appeal directly to Amy to take down the blog, accusing her of ruining his life and costing him his job at the garage.

When Amy agreed to take down the blog, Dee Dee shared the troubling news that Eric now wants a full retraction published from Amy.
Eric went even further by demanding that the published retraction also include an unqualified apology to Aaron. This demand pushed Amy too far.
After Amy rightfully refused to apologise to her rapist, Aaron's father slung vicious insults and nearly had a brawl with Steve.
Eric vowed to sue the family for every pound they had, yet Amy bravely decided to stand her ground. Will Eric follow through with his threats?
