Coronation Street's Audrey Roberts issues a warning over salon future
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Audrey Roberts is set to issue a warning over the salon's future in new scenes on Coronation Street.
In next week's episodes, Audrey declares that it's time to return to work, which surprises David and Max given that her son Stephen's death was so recent.
Audrey then reveals to David and Maria that she will be selling the barbers so that she can afford to get her house back, notably after being conned by Stephen. As such, she will be returning to work in the salon, which means that one of them will have to go.

However, Audrey throws them out of the salon and locks the door after David and Maria try to talk Audrey out of her plans, especially as they're also concerned about her health.
They end up finding a resolution, with David and Maria becoming joint salon managers – all while bickering over Vin Diesel the weasel.
Audrey warns them to stop squabbling, otherwise she may be forced to pick only one of them to manage the salon.

Serial killer Stephen met his end last month after being fatally run over by Peter Barlow, with Audrey determined to see Peter go down for her son's death.
Meanwhile, actor Todd Boyce recently revealed on This Morning that they nearly extended his run as Stephen by six months.
"[Producer] Iain [MacLeod] toyed with the idea of [giving Stephen] another six months," he recalled. "But I think the audience were losing their minds – they wanted justice!"
