Coronation Street's Faye Windass makes major confession to Gary

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Faye Windass has made a major confession over her feelings for Jackson in Coronation Street.

Craig Tinker is resorting to blackmail over Faye's involvement in the hit-and-run accident with elderly man Ted Spear as a means to stop her from going off with Jackson and her daughter Miley.

In Monday's (May 22) episode, Craig insisted he'd never hand Faye over to the police, but also subtly put pressure on her to buy a flat together and set a firm wedding date.

As Jackson invited Faye to a goodbye outing with Miley, Faye finally broke down and confessed to Gary Windass that Craig was keeping her around with a veiled blackmail threat.

"You don't owe him anything," Gary insisted.

Gary was concerned over whether Craig would drop himself in it just to spite Faye, so he demanded to know where the policeman was.

Once Craig returned from town with mum Beth, Gary was waiting to confront the pair on their underhanded tactics.

While Beth refused to believe Faye was telling the truth about wanting to stay with Craig, Gary interjected to hint that Craig had been blackmailing Faye.

Faye stopped Gary from revealing the damning information and followed him out, leading Craig to kick his mum out after she suggested there was more to Faye sticking around.

Over at the pub, Faye worried that she would end up in prison again if Craig decides to turn her in. Will Craig go to extremes in order to keep Faye away from Jackson?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
