Coronation Street's Peter Barlow makes a shocking confession in upcoming scenes - and it could backfire on him.
As regular Corrie viewers will know, Rufus Donahue became the third victim of evil serial killer Stephen Reid back in April.
Although Stephen has been doing his best to cover his tracks, he struggles to hide his guilt at Rufus's memorial next week when he runs out during Jools' emotional speech about his father.

Things go from bad to worse for Stephen when Lou shows him a bag of Rufus' belongings, which were found at the swimming pool Stephen drowned him in.
The killer is horrified when he spots his own tie-pin and proceeds to panic when Lou reveals that she plans to show it to the police.
However, when Lou mentions that Rufus' watch is missing, Peter is forced to confess to Carla that he found it in his cab and pawned it to pay for her rehab when she thought her psychosis was back.

What they're still unaware of is that Carla had actually been drugged with LSD by Stephen during his attempt to take over the factory.
With Lou asking questions and the threat of further police action in tow, could Peter become a suspect in Rufus' murder? And will Stephen walk free once again?
Or could this be the beginning of his comeuppance as small seeds of doubt are sown in various residents' minds, with Sarah Barlow unhappy with his meddling in her baby's DNA test results and Tim Metcalfe learning the truth about Stephen forging life insurance papers for his mum Elaine. How long will it be before his nefarious ways are caught out?
