Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Stephanie Davis has previewed Coronation Street scenes where Dev Alahan tries to bribe her character Courtney.

Dev will soon become desperate to break up his son Aadi's relationship with Courtney, who's the wife of his business partner Darren Vance. In upcoming scenes, Dev resorts to bribery in a last-ditch attempt to save his business

Ahead of these scenes airing, former Hollyoaks star Stephanie revealed that the tension between Dev and Courtney over the bribery has been great fun to film.

"These were my favourite scenes — I absolutely loved doing them with Jimmi [Harkishin, who plays Dev]. I can't give too much away on this bit, but Courtney has a feeling it's Darren's money. She knows Dev isn't quite up to that, he's a bit of a softie, really," she told Digital Spy and other media.

"That is when Courtney and Dev's game of cat and mouse begins. She starts calling him 'Devvy' all the time — I put it in myself, I just did it on one of the takes, so it winds him up, and it's kind of stuck now. She's winding Dev up, and it's a kind of cat-and-mouse game, but what's she going to do with the money?

"Is she going to reveal it to Aadi what his dad has done? Or will she twist it and use it against Dev? Although Courtney might play dumb, she's very intelligent and clever and always one step ahead. Those scenes were honestly my favourite so far to film."

While it remains to be seen whether or not Courtney will be tempted by a £5K bribe, Stephanie has hinted that she'd love to see her character's dynamic with Dev explored much more.

"When I was reading these scenes, I was honestly thinking I would laugh if she ended up with Dev! What a storyline that'd be," she teased.

"With Darren, it's really toxic. He has already cheated on her, the trust has gone and it's more about money. With Aadi, he's too young. He can't give her the life she's accustomed to, so will she go for the dad, who's got both?

"That's what I see for her, but I don't know, me and Jimmi laugh that it would be so funny if they ended up together."

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
