Corrie teases big news from Courtney after troubles with Aadi

Coronation Street has revealed that Courtney Vance will have some big news for Aadi Alahan next week, as she continues to struggle with her new lifestyle.

Since leaving her rich businessman husband Darren to move in with new love Aadi following their affair, the cracks have started to show in Courtney's façade, as she finds it difficult to adjust to living in a small flat with Aadi and feels sick at the thought of finding a job.

There are further developments in the storyline next week, as Aadi's dad Dev Alahan takes advice from his partner Bernie Winter and tries to make amends with Aadi after all of their rows over the Courtney situation.

Dev calls in to see Aadi at the precinct flat and to catch up with him, but how will Dev feel when he finds out that his son has been offered a job stacking shelves at Freshco?

Later on, Aadi reveals to Courtney that he has landed a job at Freshco and he has invited twin sister Asha and her girlfriend Nina Lucas over for afternoon tea so that they can celebrate.

Courtney feigns enthusiasm but it's clear that she isn't too excited by the prospect.

When it's time for the celebratory tea, Courtney is a no-show and Asha is running late, leaving Aadi and Nina to tuck in without them.

However, the pair are taken aback when Darren suddenly shows up, bearing news from Courtney.

Is this the end for Aadi and Courtney's romance, or is there still hope for them as a couple?

Actress Stephanie Davis, who plays Courtney, recently spoke to Digital Spy and other media about whether Courtney's feelings for Aadi are real, with the star saying that she thinks Courtney's affections for Aadi are "genuine".

"She does genuinely think the world of him as he's a beautiful person, but Courtney is just so toxic in her behaviours that she's had for so long," she explained. "She automatically goes back into those defects of character."

Speaking about whether Courtney may want to return to Darren, she added: "She does miss Darren because she spent so much time with him, but is it more the lifestyle she misses?"

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
