Corrie's Daniel Brocklebank has new partner after co-star split

Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank appears to have found love with a new partner, following his previous relationship with co-star Rob Mallard.

The actor, who plays vicar Billy Mayhew in the soap, enjoyed a trip to Lytham Festival in Lancashire over the weekend with a number of his co-stars, and he also bumped into former EastEnders actress Cheryl Fergison.

It was Fergison - who played much-loved George Michael superfan Heather Trott in EastEnders from 2007 to 2012 - who seemed to confirm Brocklebank's relationship.

The actress, who has also starred in Hard Cell and The IT Crowd, shared two photos on Instagram from the festival, one with Corrie's Tony Maudsley, who plays George Shuttleworth, and another with Brocklebank and his new partner, Jordan Coulthard.

"Met some Corrie pals @tonymaudsley1 @danielbrocklebank and his fella @_coulthard what an eve x", she captioned the post.

Musician Coulthard shared his own photos from the festival, including one with Fergison and another with Corrie's Maria Connor actress Samia Longchambon, in which he joked that he had "sorted [her] fringe out a few times".

It is unclear how long the couple - who didn't share any photos together themselves - have been dating, but it certainly seems that Coulthard has already developed some friendships with his partner's co-stars.

Brocklebank was previously in a relationship with co-star Rob Mallard, who plays Daniel Osbourne on the cobbles. They dated for several months in 2017, before splitting a few months later. Brocklebank was later in a two-year relationship with former Mr Gay UK Stuart Hatton Jr.

The actor's Corrie character, Billy, has been facing a tough time lately, having discovered that his partner Paul Foreman has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

While Billy has been doing his best to help, his suggestion that religion might give Paul comfort in his final months didn't go down well - and Paul recently ended up betraying his partner by meeting up with an old flame.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
