Corrie's Lauren Bolton mystery continues in new scenes

Coronation Street's Lauren Bolton will continue to raise suspicions next week, as she receives an expensive gift from a mystery person.
Lauren will find herself in trouble this week, after she is suspected of stealing from the café following her gift of a fancy watch to ex-boyfriend Max Turner.
Following further days of secretive behaviour, and claims that she has a new, rich boyfriend, Lauren receives a parcel. When she opens it, she discovers a beautiful necklace inside.

When Lauren later calls into the café, Max and Shona Platt immediately clock her sparkly new necklace.
Lauren explains that it's a present from her mysterious new boyfriend and says that he is taking her out for a meal in town - but is there more to Lauren's situation than meets the eye?
Lauren has previously been driven to desperate measures to raise money, including blackmailing her friend and flatmate Ryan Connor over his secret affair with Daisy Midgeley, and posting adult content on O-Vidz.

Actress Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren, previously teased her character's motives over taking such extreme lengths to stump up cash, explaining that her character "automatically naturally attracts danger".
She added that "at some point there will be clarity" on why Lauren is so desperate for money, saying that there is "definitely an underlying objective".
Corrie's producer Iain MacLeod has confirmed that there are longer-term plans in place for Lauren, as he revealed that "she'll have quite a big role to play next year".
"We'll see her get to be in quite a romantic set of stories, but she will continue to be quite troubled," he said. "There is more to come from Lauren as Roy's next project and in her own right."
