Corrie's Stephen and Peter face violent clash in exit week

Coronation Street's Stephen Reid and Peter Barlow will have a major altercation next week, as the pair clash over Stephen's treatment of Carla Barlow.
The soap has confirmed that serial killer Stephen's extensive web of lies will come apart next week, with actor Todd Boyce due to bow out as Stephen as part of the Super Soap Week episodes.
One of the big revelations which is about to come to light is Stephen's secret drugging of Carla earlier this year, when he covertly dosed her drinks with LSD while they were working together at Underworld.

As Carla receives her drug test results this week, which confirm that she had LSD in her system when she was unwell, it finally becomes clear to Peter that his wife's suspicions have been correct all along.
In scenes airing next week, Peter is enraged by the revelation that Stephen was drugging Carla, and his fury is made worse by the lack of action being taken by the police, due to a lack of solid evidence.
Heading over to Stephen's flat, Peter unleashes his anger on the villain, and Stephen finds himself at Peter's mercy as Peter overpowers him in a fight.
When Stephen's mum Audrey Roberts arrives, she quickly sends Peter packing – but is this really the end of the pair's clash? And could Peter find himself in even more danger if he continues to stand in Stephen's way?

Stephen has been carefully laying his exit plan, with this week's scenes seeing him print out one-way tickets to Thailand for himself and his new partner Jenny Connor.
But with the police, and an increasing number of Weatherfield residents, starting to suspect that he might be involved in Leo and Teddy Thompkins' murders, Stephen is on borrowed time.
With Stephen also due to lash out at Tim Metcalfe next week, as well as being confronted by Audrey, the action-packed week will culminate in an explosive episode on Friday, October 13.

A Coronation Street spokesperson has teased the dramatic scenes, saying: "As the shocked residents realise that they have a murderer in their midst, the hunt is on to find Stephen before he can add to his death toll – or are they too late?
"With the walls closing in on Stephen, will he escape to foreign climes or does he have unfinished business which will see him make one final mistake? Will Weatherfield CID finally get their man?"
