Corrie's Todd Boyce poses with EastEnders star to promote new project

Former Coronation Street actor Todd Boyce has crossed the soap divide to promote his latest project.

The actor, who played serial killer Stephen Reid in the soap, posed alongside former EastEnders star Neil McDermott to promote the new play Sleuth.

He captioned the photo: "Sleuth! First day at school - but have a new mate who's really cool."

Boyce and McDermott will be starring the play from Anthony Shaffer at the Princess Theatre, Torquay from February 19 to 24 before moving to the Grand Opera House York from February 26 to March 2.

The play's synopsis reads: "A young man (McDermott) arrives at the impressive home of a famous mystery writer (Boyce), only to be unwittingly drawn into a tangled web of intrigue and gamesmanship, where nothing is quite as it seems...

"This dark psychological 'thriller about thrillers' makes for an intriguing study of human conflict, jealousy, and manipulation. Proving to be far more than a 'whodunnit', it promises to baffle even the most proficient sleuth!"

Tickets are on sale now at ATG Tickets. Prices start from £13.

Boyce previously shared his excitement over the role following his dramatic Corrie exit.

"Bill Kenwright, who was famously an actor in Corrie before he became a massive theatre producer, has just offered me — without even blinking — the Laurence Olivier part in Sleuth," Boyce said.

"That's going to be a tour starting in Windsor and doing a tour around London, and then coming to The Lowry here [in Salford]. That's going to take me through to the end of June, so I'm dead excited about that."

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
