And she threw it way back to 1984.

Jennifer Aniston isn't the only Friends star to embrace a fresh chop. Her co-star, Courteney Cox, just debuted a brand-new haircut on Instagram while also proving that she's not a normal mom, she's a cool mom. Taking part in the viral "Asking my mom how she danced in the '80s" trend that's giving parents everywhere to show off their dance moves on Tiktok and Instagram, Cox debuted a new, collarbone-skimming bob that's a major change from her usual long length. Fans of her signature inky hair can rest easy, however, because the dark black color is still present and accounted for.

According to Glamour, Cox has had long hair since 2017, though while she was playing Monica Geller on everyone's favorite sitcom, she was known for her pixie-bob hybrid.

"1980’s dancing…in the dark," she captioned the Instagram clip. She styled her new hair in waves and a middle part and her dance moves proved just how much movement a little trim can add.

Eagle-eyed fans may notice another detail in the video. She unzips her hoodie to reveal a Bruce Springsteen T-shirt, which happens to be the same one she wore when she featured in the video for his 1984 tune "Dancing in the Dark."

Cox opened up about her time with the Boss in an interview with Howard Stern.

"Did you see my dance?" she said. "It was pathetic. I'm not a bad dancer, but that was horrible. I was so nervous."

However, as nervous as she was, she noted that it was exactly what the moment called for.

"I think that's what they wanted: a fan that just couldn't believe it," she finished.

In another interview, explained that the role—however brief it was—managed to get her roles.

"I spent a lot of time talking about what Bruce Springsteen was really like after that video," she said on Off Camera with Sam Jones. "It got me in the door to so many places."

Those places included a role on Murder, She Wrote and The Love Boat before she ultimately landed on Family Ties and Friends.
