Update: The cracks on a portion of Lornie Road were repaired by about 9.55am, LTA said. All lanes were passable to traffic again after LTA was satisfied that the road was safe to use.

Two lanes of Lornie Road southbound towards Farrer Road were closed Friday morning (1 June) as cracks had appeared across them during the morning rush hour.

Photos shared on social media show depressions forming in the road, leaving just part of the busy road passable to traffic.

The Land Transport Authority is investigating the cause of the problem.
