Real Madrid and Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo touched down in Singapore Friday morning (21 July) and made a trip to Thomson Medical Centre (TMC).

Ronaldo arrived in a mini-bus decorated with the Mint Media logo and his photo and was greeted by a scrum of media and curious members of the public. He did not address the media.

At TMC, he met with Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim and visited Lim’s daughter, Kim who had just given birth to a son.

Ronaldo is also set to sign a major endorsement deal later today and have dinner with Lim before heading to China.

One fan, Maki Ogawa, 44, waited at the hospital since 8:30am. She had hoped to get Ronaldo’s autograph for her two sons. She said, “Last night I got the news that he’s coming and my sons wanted to go to the airport that he’s coming but we didn’t know when. This morning I got this news that he would be here, so I came down for my sons.” Ogawa said both her sons are big Ronaldo fans.

She was left disappointed as Ronaldo slipped out of the hospital by a different exit.
