Crocs to Release ‘Minions’ Clogs Ahead of ‘Despicable Me 4’ Premiere

Crocs and Minions are coming together for an epic new collaboration that’s just in time for the cinematic release of “Despicable Me 4,” which is schedule for July 3.
Capturing the playful essence of the iconic character, the clogs feature a Minions-themed design dispersed throughout the upper portion of the shoe. They also include an ankle strap that features eyeballs and goggles for the essential Minions look. The clogs also include a printed denim overall theme and are accentuated with Minions logos adorning the rivet and heel.
As is the case with all Crocs clog designs, the shoes are lightweight and comfortable to wear courtesy of their padded mid-foot construction.
Strategically placed ventilation ports are scattered throughout the shoe to add breathability, while also giving the silhouette water and debris-fighting capabilities. Pivoting heel straps are present on the back of the shoe for extra support and protection, with the clogs also built for water resistance. Additionally, the shoes are easy to clean and fast-drying, making them the perfect option for the pool and beach this summer.
As usual, customizable Jibbitz charms are available as a design option. These include a “SpongeBob” shock, a pink gaming controller, and a Naruto Uzumaki 5-pack set, among other fun choices.
Pricing for the Minions x Crocs Classic clogs is currently set at $70, with an official release date announcement being expected soon. The clogs will be available via the Crocs official website and at selected retailers beginning in mid-June. Additionally, the Kids’ and Toddlers’ version of the Classic Clogs will be priced at $55 and $50 respectively. The The Minions Jibbitz 5-Pack will be priced at $17.
“Despicable Me 4” will be released in theaters on July 4. The film focuses on the main character, Gru, as he welcomes a new member to the family, Gru Jr., who seems intent on causing chaos and making life a little harder for Gru and the clan. Their peaceful existence, however, soon comes crashing down when criminal mastermind Maxime Le Mal escapes from prison and vows revenge against Gru. The movie was directed by Chris Renaud and Patrick Delage and will be distributed through Universal Pictures.
