Dancing on Ice star Sonny Jay welcomes first child with Liam Payne's ex-girlfriend
'Dancing on Ice' star Sonny Jay and his girlfriend Danielle Peazer have welcomed their first child together.
The 30-year-old radio star - who won the 13th series of the ITV figure skating show in 2021 - has been dating wellness entrepreneur Danielle, 35, who was previously in a relationship with former One Direction star Liam Payne, 30, since last year.
And over the weekend, the couple took to Instagram to announce the arrival of their baby girl by sharing a sweet video of the newborn wriggling legs.
They captioned the post: “And then there were 3…She’s here and she’s perfect."
Sonny and Danielle have not disclosed the name of the little bundle or any further details about the birth.
The couple have been showered with messages of congratulations, with former Little Mix star Perrie Edwards commenting: “Omg Congratulations gorgeous! Enjoy every second of that perfect baby bubble.”
Her bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock gushed: "Congrats guys! This is so beautiful."
Olly Murs wrote: “Awww huge congratulations.”
Reacting on her Instagram Story, the new mum wrote: “So overwhelmed by all of the lovely comments and messages on baby girls arrival. Thank you so much."
Danielle also admitted it had been a “hormonal rollercoster” and she could not have done it without Sonny by her side.
Before his little girl's arrival, Sonny spilled Danielle's "weird" craving for egg mayonnaise early in the morning.
He shared on the 'Capital Late Show with Sonny Jay': "There are not many times as a radio presenter that you get to share some good, solid, personal news, and I think it’s nice to be able to share it with you because I feel like you’re on my journey, do you know what I mean? I started this show over a year ago and I feel like we’re friends now so I feel like I can tell you stuff so if you don’t mind, basically I put up some good news on Instagram earlier that I cannot believe I’m saying this, I’m becoming a dad. Me an actual dad! Can you believe it, I’m genuinely so excited!?
"Does that mean people call me Daddy now [laughs], is that a thing?
"I don’t know, but honestly I’m so excited, my girlfriend Danielle has been amazing other than weird old cravings, egg mayo in the morning, I mean, just not for me."
The former 'Britain's Got Talent' star first shared their baby news in a joint post with his girlfriend uploaded to the social media site back in January.
They wrote: "It’s a secret we’ve been keeping for a while, enjoying this little bubble of excitement and preparing for our biggest adventure so far. But now we feel ready to share this journey with you, including the highs (and inevitable tantrums) it will bring. Arriving Spring 2024."
