Danny Dyer in first-look at Channel 5 drama Heat
EastEnders favourite Danny Dyer has an Australian-set drama coming soon to Channel 5.
Fresh from his open-ended soap departure as Mick Carter, the actor's four-part series Heat sees two families venturing to a secluded Australian home for the summer season – hello bushfires – but "secrets and lies" soon unravel, and "not everyone will make it out alive".
As for the rest of the cast, we have Neighbours trio Jane Allsop, Richie Morris and Olympia Valance involved, alongside Darren McMullen (Doctor Doctor) and Pia Miranda (Wentworth Prison).

Joining The One Show this week to tease his latest project, which has a teaser trailer above, Dyer told presenters Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas: "Well I left EastEnders – it was a very emotional thing for me – and I signed up to this other job. So, I literally left, packed a bag and flew to Australia.
"The reason I did it – it was a really good script and everything, but I wanted to work in the sunshine. And I got to Melbourne and it rained every single day, and there was a lot of hailstones."
Dyer, whose daughter Dani is currently expecting identical twins with her footballer partner Jarrod Bowen, continued by adding: "It's a really good piece of work, I'm really proud. It's really clever, really good – all Australian crew, Australian actors, so I've got an Australian wife.
"They did ask me to be Australian but I said, 'Let's just calm down a little bit, let's not get carried away...'"

Acknowledging the elephant in the room, the TV star finished off by saying: "It was difficult because it did rain every day and it is about bushfires, and the dry season.
"They were all really apologetic about the weather because apparently it's meant to be really hot there. And as soon as I left, the sun came out."
