“I cannot believe I got to meet Michael J. Fox ❤️ and also a little starstruck to meet so many talented people that I’ve watched on the big screen at @bafta tonight,” Beckham, 48, wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of him grinning ear-to-ear alongside the 62-year-old Fox.

“Delighted to present the outstanding debut by a British writer, director or producer award to Savannah Leaf, Shirley O’Connor & Medb Riordan for Earth Mama,” the six-time Premier League champion also wrote in the post’s caption.

Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991, attended the BAFTAs with his wife of 35 years, Tracy Pollan, and received a standing ovation when he took the stage to present the award for best film at the awards ceremony to close out the night.

Beckham later shared the photo of him and Fox again on his Instagram stories, telling his followers that he was over the moon to have met the Back to the Future star in person.

"Sorry have to post again I haven’t been this starstruck in a while,” Beckham wrote in a caption above the photo of him and Fox smiling.
