Deadly Russian missile strike on Kryvyi Rih: Six killed, eleven injured

Six people were killed and 11 others injured in a Russian missile attack on the city of Kryvyi Rih in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote in his 5:35 p.m. EET Telegram post on June 12.

“Every day and every hour, Russian terror proves that Ukraine, together with its partners, must strengthen air defenses,” he said.

This follows earlier reports of a powerful explosion by local monitoring Telegram channels and the head of the city defense council, Oleksandr Vilkul.

According to the regional Governor, Serhiy Lysak, the Russians hit the residential area of Kryvyi Rih, causing casualties and destruction.

Shortly before, Ukrain'e Southern defense forces issued a ballistic missile alert in response to the detected movement of a high-speed target toward the city. The air raid alert was also issued for several other Ukrainian oblasts.
