This Deal On Game Pass Ultimate Will Save You A Bunch Before The Price Hike

Microsoft is raising the price of every tier of Xbox Game Pass starting July 10. Fortunately, you can save a good chunk of change on the most expensive tier through a current Amazon deal. Stacking a year’s worth of monthly subscriptions with this offer is $60 cheaper than paying the new price moving forward.

This week Microsoft announced that Xbox Game Pass will be changing the benefits for some of its tiers and increasing the price of all of them. Game Pass Ultimate, for example, will go from $17 a month to $20. Moving forward, it will also be the only console version of the paid program that gets free access to games like Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on launch day.

Over on Amazon, you can currently get three months of Game Pass Ultimate, which includes EA Play and Xbox Live for playing games online, for just $45. That’s $6 less than the old monthly price and $15 less than the new one. Buy four of them and you’ll get a whole year of the service for $180, which is a lot, but also a lot less than $240, the price tag for a year of Game Pass Ultimate moving forward.

Players can stack up to 36 months of the subscription in advance, which I don’t think is a good idea for anyone to do but hey, if that’s you, have at it. Six months, meanwhile, is a more manageable amount and will take people through the end of the year, assuming they prefer to rent a buffet of games rather than buy them. In addition to Black Ops 6, Microsoft has also confirmed that Diablo IV’s Vessel of Hatred expansion, post-apocalyptic shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, fantasy RPG Avowed, and Nazi-punching adventure Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, are all coming to Game Pass day-and-date by the end of 2024.
