Detectives name man who died after flat disturbance

Detectives have named a man who died after a disturbance in a flat in Troon.

Callum Pollock, 22, was discovered in a property in Ramsay Court, in the town's Scott Crescent, at about 23:40 on Saturday.

Police Scotland said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 34-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with his death and appeared before Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday.

Det Insp Keith Runcie said: "Our thoughts are with Callum’s family and everyone affected by his death.

"Our investigations are ongoing."

He also issued an appeal to trace a couple who spoke to the suspect soon after the alarm was raised.

The man and woman were waiting on a train at Troon station around midnight on Saturday.
