DJ Tenashar charged with forging document bearing Attorney-General's name
SINGAPORE — Singaporean model and DJ Tenashar was charged on Wednesday (7 September) with forging a document.
Debbie Valerie Tenashar Long, 37, had allegedly filed a letter in court containing a signature with the name "Lucien Wong" as well as the title of "Attorney-General", according to charge sheets seen by The Straits Times.
It had allegedly stated that the Attorney-General had given consent to start proceedings for contempt of court, details of which were not mentioned in court documents.
Long, who will be remanded, will have to undergo psychiatric observation at the Institute of Mental Health. The Singaporean's case will be heard again on 21 September.
If convicted of using a forged document as a genuine one, she could face a jail term of up to 10 years and a fine.
It is not Long's first brush with the law. She was sentenced to 18 months' jail in 2019 for various drug offences. She admitted to consuming benzoylecgonine, which is found in cocaine, and psilocin, which is found in so-called “magic mushrooms”, as well as possessing the latter drug.
She was again sentenced to 18 months' jail last year for various offences, including those related to drugs and theft.
