Doctor Who star John Simm's ITV show has future revealed
John Simm's ITV crime drama Grace has been renewed for a fifth season.
The renewal comes ahead of the crime thriller's season four premiere, with the fifth outing set to be made up of four feature-length films each expected to be about around two hours long (via Radio Times).
Speaking about the renewal, author Peter James – whose novels the series is based on -– said in a statement: "When the first episode of Grace aired in 2021, it was a dream come true. It is both heartening and astounding to me that we're already at series five!
"The continued success of Grace is a testament to the outstanding cast headed by John Simm and crew and, equally importantly, the fans, who have loved and devoted their time to these characters both on the page and now the screen."

He continued: "It is also a testament to just how faithfully ITV have adhered to both the characters and stories in the novels."
"We're thrilled to be returning to Brighton and the world of Roy Grace and the team for another series of Peter James's brilliant stories," ITV's commissioner Huw Kennair-Jones added.
"Series five promises to deliver four more episodes full of surprises and intrigue that the ITV and ITVX audiences have come to love."
Specific plot details are being kept under wraps ahead of season four, however, the episodes are reported to be based off the novels Dead If You Don't, Dead at First Sight, Need You Dead and Find Them Dead.

First premiering in 2021, Grace stars Simm in the titular role of Detective Superintendent Roy Grace, a Brighton-based detective who works to solve a variety of cases after being haunted by the disappearance of his wife several years ago.
Season three of Grace premiered in March 2023, with the upcoming fourth season expected to air at some point this year.
Richie Campbell, Craig Parkinson, Zoë Tapper and Laura Elphinstone are also expected to reprise their roles for season four, with the episodes inspired by the novels Dead Man's Time, Want You Dead, You Are Dead and Love You Dead.
